Isn't the WT an "international" organization?

Promoting justice by prosecuting human rights violators and other international criminals
The Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section (HRSP) primarily investigates and prosecutes cases against human rights violators and other international criminals. HRSP investigates and prosecutes human rights violators for genocide, torture, war crimes, and recruitment or use of child soldiers, and for immigration and naturalization fraud arising out of efforts to hide their involvement in such crimes. HRSP also prosecutes perpetrators of other international violent crimes, particularly those involving the Military Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Act (MEJA) or occurring within the Special Maritime & Territorial Jurisdiction of the United States (SMTJ). Finally, HRSP prosecutes members of international criminal networks who seek to evade our immigration laws, such as by smuggling persons into the United States. In addition to its prosecutorial activities, HRSP is actively engaged in policy work, both domestically and internationally.

This would cover all of the states in the United States of America.
little help i'd like to pass on from another cult survivor to me.. not jw but a violent, physically captive indian cult.. she says on anger:.
it's the longest lasting emotion with have.. it takes at least 90 seconds for it to run it's course once we stop.a lot can happen in 90 seconds, and some of the most horrible exchanges and actions happen right after the anger first manifests itself.. we're experiencing fantastic results by just going for a very short walk ( 90 seconds out in the yard or other room ) before continuing the conversation.. when my wife and i come back together we can smile, embrace and congratulate each other for avoiding a horrible day.. before it even becomes anger, wait 3-5 seconds before making your reply.
slow it down!!
Thanks for sharing.... See? 'Just breeeeeaaaaaaaaaaathe' ;-)
Ahhhhhh, feel the love.
i am still attending the kh, i actually recently became aware of the ttatt, what i believed came as a huge surprised for me, i wasn't raised as a jw and have been for about 15 years.
i have always been a very open minded individual all my life always seeing both sides of any situation with logic and common sense and so i believe discovering all of the doctrines i have been taught sense 16 years of age, wasn't extremely hard for me to realize in my heart it was a lie.
well it was me discovering the watchtower society being a ngo member of the un nations for 10 years, after that the snowball just got bigger for me.
Hi Olivia, So sorry to hear of your bullying, and hard times, but glad to hear that you know the Truth About the Truth~
When you don't 'need people's approval'.... life gets easier... right?
Maybe you want to go back to be able to fade, to reconnect with your family, that's great... but if you have no family in there? the 'friends' you left behind are not real true friends, they are 'conditional'.... only if you are 'in' are they friends...
Hugs and best wishes,
Cha Ching!
about a month ago i posted what had happened to two elderly sisters who were reprimanded by a couple of elders for crying because the jw broadcasting was going to be stopped at the kingdom hall and it was up to each publisher to learn how to use the internet.
if you recall the sisters got together with my mom and talked about it and it resulted in all of them declining to make meals for the pioneers.
here is the link.
Awesoooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmeee!!
I love to hear people can still think!
and take action!
hi i've been reading a web sight called borean pickets.
http://meletivivlon.com/2015/05/09/may-tv-broadcast-on-tv-jw-org/.
although the guy writes some real thought provoking stuff, i sort of don't know what to make of it.
I think that they are analyzing what Lett said in his video... My sister and I were doing the numbers just a few days ago, and this is pretty interesting:
To deepen his appeal for more money, Brother Lett continues:
“For one thing, the financial needs in the field have accelerated at a pace unlike any time in the recent past.”
Why have these needs accelerated at such an unprecedented rate? Is it because of unprecedented growth? Let’s see. He continues: “A recent analysis of the needs for kingdom halls here in the United States showed that 1600 new kingdom halls or major renovations are needed, not sometime in the future, but right now.”
“And worldwide we are in need of more than 14,000 places of worship not including ongoing future growth”
Last year there was a 1% growth rate in the United States. According to the 2015 Yearbook, the number of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the U.S. increased by 18,875. If we assume an average congregation size of 70 publishers, that represents just 270 congregations. Since most halls are used to house multiple congregations, this represents conservatively a need because of growth for 135 additional kingdom halls assuming that none of the existing halls has room for these new congregations. Yet we are told that there is a desperate need for many times that number. Why?
Worldwide the need is for 14,000 halls according to Lett. That would be enough for 30,000 congregations. Yet, according to the 2015 Yearbook, the total number of congregations grew last year by only 1,593.
Even if we allow for one hall for every congregation, that still leaves us to explain why an additional 12,500 kingdom halls are urgently needed.
If they are asking us for money, they really need to explain why this sudden expansion is needed at a time when the worldwide growth is slowing down based on the organization’s own statistics.
This reminds me when my husband and I looked at each other during the Circuit Assembly when they said "We are starting out $5,000 in the hole.... we need more $$" then at the end of the assembly, they say they have four, five, six thounsand dollars, and does everyone want to send it to Mother, New York? Yes, they do. They do that every single time. If they "saved" that money, they wouldn't need more... However, in reality, they never were "down by $5,000" they JUST say it....
lostwun here, i joined 2 months ago but am now just finding the courage after doing more research to formally introduce myself to the board and embrace my new beginnings as an ex-jw.
i am a second-generation jw.
i grew up with parents who are well known and very respected in many circuits.
Congratulations, lostwun! You have just begun a new adventure in your life! A thrilling one!
My husband and family and I have left the org in recent years as we too could not take the hypocrisy, failed predictions, lying, pedophilia and lack of love. We endured this organization many years before we saw the light /607 b.ce, but when we did? we were out! My husband came to the conclusion first, he had started to look at older books that a friend had collected as a hobby, and hubby had always wanted to read them.... OMG, if you think the WT is a brain drain, try reading things from the 1800's and early 1900's "The Finished Mystery"....
In 2011, when the WT did 2 articles on 607, we did the grease board thing and new thata 1914 was wrong, which means '1919, the year the chosen were chosen' was wrong also. They could not be God's organization.
But when I read in the Finished Mystery the concoctions they went thru to prove the printery was exactly so many furlongs from where the book was written, and take into consideration the Hoboken tunnel being worked on...... " I knew they (the WTBTS) were numerologists... simply changing numbers, dates, events to fit their scheme.... I cried...
Back on point: Having friends and contacts is soooooooo important....
Spending time with your husband, and creating a network outside JWville is sooo important... Can you BOTH go to classes (dancing?) (tennis?) (ping pong?) (surfing?) together? Get involved with a group of people, and learn to enjoy life. That will definitely help HIM too!
Even if you do things together at home, build your relationship....
Does he like sports? go to an event! Music? go to a concert?
Build memories outside the BORG. I think THAT is one of the most important things you can do.... Love each other, be there for each other... Realize you do not need the BORG to be happy.
Hugs, Cha Ching!
PS... I agree with EVERYONE here... Do not, absolutely do NOT talk about this to ANY one... No matter how much they seem to be your friend, even your mom....nope, they will start shaking, turn into blank faced, no thinking allowed, scared people. I had friends for over 30 years, and they could not even 'discuss' why Sodom and Gomorrah were going to be resurrected, not, yes, no, yes, no........ Even tho they talk to people out in service, they could NOT even THINK about discussing it with me... It literally scared them out of their socks! It was as tho they had seen a ghost!
so i ran into this brother whom ive known for a while and the conversation led into me being invited to come back to the kingdom hall.
we talked for about an hour during which time i explained to him 607 being the wrong date and a lot of other stuff including the child abuse cases in australia.
but what i wanted to relate was the last few minutes of our conversation.
All I can do is sigh, and shake my head....
lol!!!!
omg!!
sorry for posting so much today, but i just went to the "imitate wt jewsus" convention and now i'm drinking.
LONG LIVE THE APOSTATE UNIVERSE!
